Zones 3-9; Sun; Ht. 5 ft.

Bright scarlet tubular flowers are 1.5-2ft. long in dense heads. Opposite leaves are 3-5ft. long. This hairy perennial has square stems and grows 5ft. tall in wet areas, thickets and along stream banks throughout Pennsylvania. Large red flowers early June through August.
