COMING SOON After more than forty plus years releasing some the best in what is now called ?Americana? music (bluegrass, folk, country-rock, etc.) Sierra Records announces it?s re-entry into the vinyl record manufacturing with it?s audiophile imprint, SIERRA HIGH FIDELITY. With a commitment to manufacture the highest quality phonograph record in the 21st century, SIERRA HIGH FIDELITY will be manufactured with all the best qualities of those rare and often expensive vinyl pressings of long ago but with the today?s technology. Catering to the ?high end audiophile listener who prefers vinyl as the preferred medium for sound reproduction, SIERRA HIGH FIDELITY records will be pressed using special die molds made of Cr-Ni steel which feature quick heating and cooling with rapid dismounting, patterned after the ?Fabelmo? from Belgium, the record molds used by JVC of Japan in 1970s, to create a 200+ gram, ultra high quality, disc. Also, one of the compounds being tested was produced by the same chemical company which supplied JVC with a highly polymerized synthetic resin containing a high vinyl acetate content, derived from a vinyl chloride, vinyl acetate copolymer, called ?Super Vinyl?. The first album releases will utilized Sierra?s 1980?s original half speed mastered, metal stampers processed by legendary Sheffield Lab Matrix, which were preserved since the days many thought vinyl was dead! And finally, packaged in a special presentation collector?s jacket/box. Our audiophile releases will go beyond the ?americana? labeled music by will explore all forms of music both vintage and new that are both unique in their performance and analog in their recording. Their commitment to excellence from microphone to record groove remains his inspiration to this day.
